Day of Caring

Every year in May, 1000+ volunteers throughout Benton, Cedar, Iowa, Jones, and Linn counties will come together, roll up their sleeves, and provide a much-needed workforce to complete half or full-day projects. Volunteer teams from businesses, schools, and organizations of all sizes take on projects that help address critical community and agency needs of nonprofit organizations. Whether it’s painting schools, cleaning up parks, or assisting local nonprofits, the Day of Caring embodies the spirit of unity and service.

Through these collective efforts, we witness tangible improvements in our neighborhoods, from revitalized public spaces to enhanced educational facilities. Beyond the physical changes, the Day of Caring fosters a sense of togetherness and empowerment among residents, reminding us that we can achieve remarkable things when we come together with a shared purpose.

Join us for Day of Caring on Thursday, May 8, 2025.

  • Donate sizes 4, 5, 6, & pull-upsβœ…
  • Host a drive at your workplace or organization or among your friends and families
Please drop off diapers May 5-7 at our office: 317 7th Ave SE, Suite 401, Cedar Rapids. On Day of Caring, volunteers will bundle donations into 10-packs for the Eastern Iowa Diaper Bank, ensuring families get the support they need.
