Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you do for fun?
I was born and raised in Anamosa, IA, but have been a resident of Cedar Rapids for almost 10 years now. I’m very outgoing and social, and I love to stay busy. Family is a very integral part of my life! I’m the middle child of three girls, and I’ve been blessed with a five-year-old niece and a one-year-old nephew! When I’m not with family, I’m with friends, traveling, or trying to complete my latest DIY project. I’m also an avid lover of music and attend as many concerts as I can.
What’s something unique that people don’t know about you?
My family would tell you that I’m full of weird knowledge. I seem to remember the fly-by facts, as I call them, which most of the time leads to some pretty interesting conversations.
What do you love most about working at United Way?
Seeing the impact United Way has on the community. So many people benefit from United Way’s work, and I’m so glad to be part of that now!
Outside of United Way, how are you involved in the community?
Bowl for Kids Sake and Relay for Life.
What is some of the best advice you have received?
Anything and everything my mom has ever told me. I would be lost without her, and truly believe if she says something, then it’s true!
